Here you will find background information on the project and news, as well as the music and ways to get your hands on it.
At this point I would like to thank all of you for your great support! It is always a pleasure to hear from you.
I will continue to release my work under the Creative Commons License for everyone to be able to get it for free, but in addition to that option I'll add some ways over time so you can give something back to the project if you like to. Nevertheless you will still be able to get all songs for free. :-)
You can also freely use the songs for your private projects like videos for YouTube or your websites, blogs, podcasts and so on, please just remember to mention "Chill Carrier" as the author.
If you have a commercial project, website or the need of some music in your shop, bar and so on and would like to use some "Chill Carrier" tunes please feel free to easily obtain an inexpensive license on Jamendo. You can read all about it under Music, thank you.
In any way, if you use my work I would love to hear from you, and if you like it will also be mentioned on this website, which might direct some more people to your project.

Chill Carrier ...
...well, that's me: Sebastian Kretzschmar, a software engineer located in Chemnitz, Germany.
Having always been close to music in some way in my life since 1980 - especially electronic music - I started to become more and more fascinated by chilly groovy lounge-tunes by artists as Bent, Air, Massive Attack and many more at the beginning of the new millenium. Until then I've been much into Trance and House, making music under my first project-name "c. bass t.n." for some years, to which I was mainly introduced at the day I found out about the good old DOS-tracker Fasttracker. Later Buzz would replace it - and has until now.
However, it was around the beginning of 2003 when I made "Beautiful Flow" which is somewhat like a "milestone" for me - I still like it a lot and it sure was a turning point for the style which I wanted to make my own music in from that time on.
It's been a while since then, and when I one day came across Jamendo in 2008 I decided to wrap up two albums, "Awakening" and "B-sides", out of the songs I had made so far. I've released them under a Creative Commons License because I thought it would be the best way to have them spread far and at the same time keep all rights. I quite like that concept.
At the end of June 2009 my third album "Moving Off Ground" was released and I'm still somewhat stunned by the very good feedback it has gotten so far and still gets, as well as the other albums did. Again thank you everyone. :)
Since then I continue to make more albums, only I honestly can't say in which direction they will go, since I get influenced by so many things like - of course - music I listen to, daily life or just people I talk to. And it's amazing to see so many other great independent artists using the web to release and spread their music and how easy it is to get in touch nowadays.
Speaking of which: please don't be a stranger, I always appreciate any kind of feedback, either through one of the sites I got a Chill Carrier profile on (which you'll find under this text or directly via e-mail.
